I love being called MIMI!! :o)

God is so Good.  I am so grateful to Him for my 3 beautiful grandchildren!  I found this on Nationalgrandparentsday.com's Facebook Fan Page:

My grandchildren are ages 7 months, 2 years 3 months, and almost 3 years old.  Hearing them call me Mimi is PRICELESS!!  :o)  I just love them to pieces!!

Friends, I also wanted to share this quote from Max Lucado that I wrote down several years ago about gratitude:

Gratitude. More aware of what you have than what you don't. Recognizing the treasure in the simple...a child's hug, fertile soil, a golden sunset. Relishing in the comfort of the common...a warm bed, a hot meal, a clean shirt.

God is Always the Same

Greetings, friends! I found this devotional by Max Lucado and just had to share. Not only does it have one of my fave verses, but it’s a great message. God is always the same. Always. He does not change. We may change. But He never does. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Just like Scriptures says.

God is Always the Same
Lovers call you today and scorn you tomorrow. Companies follow pay raises with pink slips. Friends applaud you when you drive a classic and dismiss you when you drive a dud.

Not God. God is always the same. James 1:17 says, “With God, there is no variation or shadow due to change.”

Catch God in a bad mood? Won’t happen. Can your fear exhaust his grace? A sardine will swallow the Atlantic first. Do you think he’s given up on you? Wrong! Did he not make a promise to you? What he says he will do, he does. What he promises, he makes come true. God is not a human being, and he will not lie.

God is never sullen or sour, sulking or stressed. His strength, truth, ways, and love never change. He is the same yesterday and today and forever!

-Max Lucado

Well, I hope this has been a blessing to you and I hope you realize that God truly never changes; He is always, always the same. Thank you, God!

God Bless you! :o)

Happy 2nd Birthday, T!!!

Yesterday was our precious punkin, T's, 2nd birthday!  We celebrated on Saturday with a Toy Story Birthday party.  The weather was rainy, but his Daddy's friend came through with a small bounce house that fit in the garage.  All of the kids had a blast.  Our other grandchildren got to come as well, so we were absolutely thrilled!  A fun time was had by all.  T received lot's of cool gifts (including many Toy Story toys; his favorite!) and had a Toy Story cupcake cake.  It was a blessing to celebrate with family and friends!  Yesterday, we went to Cotton Patch Cafe with T and his Mommy and had lunch and spent the afternoon with the two of them.  Such a blessing!  We thank God for our precious little grandbabies!!  They truly are gifts from our dear Father above!

Every good and perfect gift is from above.

My Heart Will Sing...

God Is For You

One of my favorite songs is sung by Gateway Worship and it's called You are for Me.  It's a wonderful reminder of how much God truly loves us.  If we were the only person that ever lived on this earth, Christ still would have died on that cross for us.  There truly is no greater love.  I came across the following Max Lucado devotional that is along these same lines, and it's appropriately called, God is For You.  Is God Awesome or what?!!  :o)

God Is For You

He will rejoice over you.You will rest in his love; he will sing and be joyful about you. Zephaniah 3:17

God is for you.  In fact the Bible says, “God will rejoice over you!”  Turn to the sidelines; that’s God cheering your run. Look past the finish line; that’s God applauding your steps. Listen for him in the bleachers, shouting your name. Too tired to continue? He’ll carry you. Too discouraged to fight? He’s picking you up. God is for you.

In Isaiah 49:15 God asks,  “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne?” Can you mothers imagine feeding your infant and then later asking, “What was that baby’s name?” No. A mother strokes the hair, touches the face, and sings the name over and over. Can a mother forget? No way.
-Max Lucado

I hope this has blessed your heart and that you realize how high, how deep, how wide and how strong the love of Christ is for you.

God Bless!!  :o)

I Will Praise the Lord

Greetings, Friends!  Hope you are having a glorious day.  As we head into February, I pray that you will join me in singing praises to God!  I continue to do so, no matter what is going on and no matter what is happening in my life.  Some days it's harder than others, but God is Good, ALL the TIME.

And for the times that I feel like satan is throwing his fiery darts, I just tell him the truth:

And I continue to Praise the Lord!!

God bless you, my friends!!  :o)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year and God Bless you!  Well, we all think of a new year as a new beginning pretty much, don't we?  Many people make resolutions. And then, of course, they break them very soon afterwards.  I know I use to a very long, long time ago.  I haven't made any resolutions in literally years.  However, I am sort of participating in Ali Edwards' One Little Word scrapbook "challenge" (if you can call it that). She actually does a class and you can find out all about it at her website here.  My One Little Word for 2012 is PRAISE.  I am going to Praise God more this year.  Each day, I am going to put a new Scripture on my Facebook status that Praises God.  I am going to try to truly live a life of Praise.  After all, shouldn't we be honoring God in all that we do and all that we say?

So, how about you?  Are you going to be making any resolutions this year?

God Bless!!!
