God Forgive Our Sin and Heal Our Nation

In light of this, the anniversary of Roe V. Wade, I wanted to post the following quote from Mother Teresa.  As a woman who was formerly pro-choice myself, I praise God for opening my eyes about 15 years ago to see that life starts at the point of conception.   God's Word is clear.  He knew us BEFORE he formed us in the womb:

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you.” – Jeremiah 1:5

"America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has shown violence and discord at the heart of the most intimate human relationships. It has aggravated the derogation of the father’s role in an increasingly fatherless society. It has portrayed the greatest of gifts ~ a child ~ as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience. It has nominally accorded mothers unfettered dominion over the independent lives of their physically dependent sons and daughters. And in granting this unconscionable power, it has exposed many women to unjust and selfish demands from their husbands or other sexual partners. Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being’s entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend, and must not be declared to be contingent, on the pleasure of anyone else, not even a parent or a sovereign.” Mother Teresa

I do not condemn anyone who has had an abortion.  Not at all.  There is total and complete forgiveness and healing in Christ for anyone who has had an abortion.  Many women do not realize this and suffer immensely because of guilt and shame over having had an abortion.  But as a nation, we need to stop this senseless tragedy and make women realize that it is a life and there are other options, such as adoption.

"Children are a gift from the Lord." Psalm 127:3.  They are to be cherished and loved. Abortion is the senseless killing of a baby in the womb who has a completely different set of DNA than the mother.  It is a child, a baby, a life. Not a choice.  I realize that this is a heated subject but it is very near and dear to my heart.  And it is especially dear to the heart of God.  It grieves His heart dearly that 45 million babies in the U.S. alone have been killed since Roe V. Wade.

Please join me in praying for our nation and about this great tragedy that needs to be overturned.
